Interview with Joana Monteiro

Joana Monteiro is the head of research at the State’s Attorney Office of Rio de Janeiro and professor of evidence-based policy design at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV/EBAPE). Between 2015 and 2018, she was the head of the Institute of Public Security (ISP), the government body responsible for disclosing and analyzing Rio de Janeiro’s crime and violence records.
