Eloy Oliveira is is a Master of International Affairs Candidate at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. His focus is on infrastructure and Economic and Political Development with a specialization in Management.
After 7 years working with major governmental infrastructure projects in Brazil, Mr. Oliveira decided to join SIPA in order to polish his managerial skills and to strengthen his knowledge. Besides heading the creation of Brasil Talk web page, Mr. Oliveira is one of the founders of the BRIC’s club at SIPA; managed a team that structured a fund system that will help built peace in Colombia; as well as launched a new venture with focus in sustainable development. Moreover Mr. Oliveira keeps acting in social projects as part of the Global Shapers, a group of young leaders sponsored by the World Economic Forum, aimed at impact world development. At his spare time, Mr. Oliveira likes to learn about new cultures by studying different languages. He already speaks 6 different languages and now he is engaged in learning Chinese.
After graduating, Mr. Oliveira is eager to engage in activities that will let him expand his impact, not only to solve local issues in Brazil, but also globally. Born in Belo Horizonte, he holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Federal University of Minas Gerais.
