Eloy Oliveira is the CEO of Instituto República, a foundation based in Rio de Janeiro, aimed at improving public service in Brazil through grants, research and advocacy.
He holds a Bachelors of Laws from UFMG and an MPA from Columbia Univesity´s SIPA. During his time at Columiba he focused his studies on development, impact investing, and entrepreneurship in emerging markets. He has also founded Brazil Talk; managed a team to structure a peace-building fund in Colombia; and another team in a Private Equity project in Africa. Before that, he has worked for seven years with public-private partnerships in Brazil.
During his spare time he likes to learn foreign languages, what helped him to be fluent in 6 languages (currently learning Chinese). Besides this, Eloy is part of the World Economic Forum´s Global Shapers
