Mario Saraiva is a Masters in Public Administration and Development Practice candidate at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. Prior to Columbia, Mario worked for four years at the World Bank in Brazil; where he has taken assignments in different sectors such as in the Sustainable Development, Social Protection, and Disaster Risk Management departments. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. He is a Brazilian national and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Trent University, Ontario, Canada. After graduate school, Mario is interested in contributing to socioeconomic development and poverty alleviation.
